How do I make my content more aligned with my chosen benchmark?
There are multiple options to "level up" your copy, so that you meet your benchmark.
Option #1 USE ‘MAGIC WORDS’
Quickly identify the words within their text that most negatively impact their alignment, generate synonyms, and make replacements that will improve their alignment. This is a powerful way to see what words are bringing down your score and will provide you with potential alternatives you can pick from, based on your knowledge of the context and voice you are striving for.
- After you have submitted copy to score, you will be taken to your results page. From here, if you have not met your benchmark, you can scroll down about halfway and to the left, to navigate to Word SCAN+ MAGIC WORDS analysis.
- Click on WORD SCAN. Then Click on PHRASE LIST dropdown and Pick “Magic Words”. Then Select the Benchmark you would like to optimize to in the third dropdown menu. Now the feature will scan your text and highlight words that are impacting your alignment, hover to see choices, select those that increase your alignment.
- You will now see your original scores (yellow lines) and your benchmark (red lines) to see how these changes have moved you closer to your target benchmark.

Option #2 USE SUGGESTION CENTER
Get suggestions, iterate to find what will work best for you. After you have submitted copy to score, you will be taken to your results page. From here, if you have not met your benchmark, you can scroll down about halfway to the right and see a "Suggestions" button. You will then be given the two options:
- Sentence-level Suggestion - you can click on an individual sentence, to be given different options to change your copy OR
- Full Rewrite - your entire entry will be rewritten to be closer to or at your selected benchmark.
- After you have approved and accepted any suggested changes, click "save" and you will see your original scores (yellow lines) and your benchmark (red lines) to see how these changes have moved you closer to your target benchmark.
